Russell J Johnson

Russell J. Johnson, 89, passed away Monday June 17, 2024.

Russell was born in Canton to Christopher and Goldie Johnson. He served in the U.S. Army. Russell retired from J & L Steel with 33 years service. Russell enjoyed working on his farm raising cows and crops and gardening. He liked to display his cars at area car shows. Russell and Teresa hosted the family hay ride every fall and hosted an annual Christmas open house.

He was preceded in death by wife, Teresa; son, James; and sister, Mary Evelyn Blile. He is survived by daughter, Mary Hill and son, Michael Yeater; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Johnson; granddaughter, Jennifer; grandson, James; several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 24, 2024, 1:00 pm at Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home, 303 S. Chapel St., Louisville, where the family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until the time of service. Interment Union Lawn Cemetery, Navarre.
