Maryann Nelson

Maryann Nelson was born October 9, 1936 in Coshocton, Ohio to John and Mary Kimberley. Maryann was blessed to spend her final days surrounded by the family she loved so much. She passed away on June 8,  2023 peacefully with them by her side.

Maryann’s caring nature led her to attend the Idabelle Firestone School of Nursing at Akron City Hospital. She had a varied and accomplished career in nursing, but her greatest joy came from the family she shared with her loving husband, Richard Nelson. She strongly believed that family’s the only thing that matters in this life, a sentiment she lived by and passed along to all who loved her during her eighty-six years.

Maryann was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Kimberley, brother, John Kimberley, sister, Lila Mathews, and grandson, Rusty Haas.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Nelson; her children, Rita (Ronald), John (Twila), Elizabeth (Steve), Joseph (Lori), and Shawn (Amy); her ten grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Calling hours for Maryann will be held at Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville, Ohio on Friday, June 16 from 10:00-12:00pm with the memorial service to follow at noon. A celebration of life will be held at First Friends Church in Canton, Ohio immediately after services. The family asks in lieu of flowers to please give donations to Saint Joseph Care Center in Louisville, Ohio.
